Carrie Price
When did you join the staff and what is your position?
I joined in mid-August 2026, after my husband and I moved to Wilmington. A/V Technician for The Cove and 4:12
What is your favorite thing about working here?
Already, it’s the fellowship and sense of community. Everyone cares so much about each other and is so supportive. I can’t wait to make more friends!
Where were you born and raised?
I have moved a bit in my 31 years. I was born in Hartford County, Maryland (right outside Baltimore). Lived there until 2003 and then we moved to my mother’s hometown of Marion, Virginia. I lived there and worked there in my young adult life. When we made the move from MD to VA we lived with family members and then were able to get a house, then an apartment in 2008. I moved to Bristol, Tennessee to live on campus for 4 years, before moving back to Marion for work.
Where did you go to school?
I went to Marion Senior High School in Marion, VA. I attended King University in Bristol, TN and I have my Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology with a minor in Criminal Justice studies. I then went to work for one of our sister universities, Emory & Henry University (Health Sciences Campus- Marion, VA) for 9 years. I assisted in the upkeep and care of those who donated their bodies to science to help our students learn anatomy for their future healthcare careers.
Do you have a family, animals, etc?
My husband Casey is heading up the new worship service, The Cove with Pastor Eunsoo. Our son is Evan and he is the light of our life and our family’s lives. The rest of our family live in Marion, VA and surrounding areas in Southwest Virginia. While we miss them very much, we are excited for this opportunity and for this new walk with Christ in this season of our lives.
We also have a border collie- aussie named Skywalker. (Bet you can’t tell how much my husband and son love Star Wars right?) Our family are big animal lovers and most of our family members have multiple pets and we have an aunt that has a small farm!
What do you like to do in your free time?
(I am a mom, what free time? Haha kidding!) I like to do anything outside with my family (hike/walk or bike) I also enjoy baking sometimes. I am a big science lover so any fun experiments (and especially kid friendly ones) are awesome!! I love to learn so I am always looking for new articles and research on everything and anything. I also enjoy reading when I have a spare moment. I can’t wait to enjoy a good book on the beach soon!
