“You Are What You Eat”
SPEAKERS ON RECOVERY AND WELLNESS
As the date of the Son Run approaches, we have also planned two informational events during the Sunday
School hour to raise awareness of recovery and wellness.

On September 29, we have invited Diane Boyd to speak to us concerning “You Are What You
Diane is skilled in nutrition education, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, parental nutrition, inpatient and outpatient counseling, and sports nutrition. She currently has a private practice specializing in medical nutritional management, weight control, and sports nutrition. Her formal education includes graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in dietetics. She also holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
On October 6, Jim Doxey will speak to us concerning “You Are How You Feel.”
Jim received dual masters degrees in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and has a profound respect for human suffering. Jim is especially interested in helping people find recovery from a variety of life stresses and events, addiction, mental health,
and exploring family of origin dynamics.
